Carol Abarr
General Manager
C
arol Abarr is the General Manager of the Spivey Hall Children’s Choir Program. Her involvement with the choir began in 1994, when her oldest daughter became a member of the newly formed Tour Choir. Due to the growth and success of the program, what began as a volunteer position has grown into the management position she currently holds.
Carol has a Bachelor of Arts in Music Education from Shorter College, and has 18 years of education experience, first in the DeKalb County Public School system, then as a home educator for her four children, all of who participated in the Spivey Hall Children’s Choir Program. Carol is the direct contact for information regarding the SHCC Program. Coordinating communication with the organization’s students and their families, overseeing the program’s audition process, managing the choirs’ booking schedules, maintaining the choirs’ music library, assisting the direction of fundraising opportunities, and “conductor wrangling” are among her responsibilities. She also acts as the lead developer of the Tour Choir’s annual performance tours.
Sharon Bonner
Financial Manager

haron Bonner is the Financial Manager of the Spivey Hall Children’s Choir Program. Sharon holds a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting from University of Texas in Arlington, a Master of Arts in Education from Central Michigan University, and an endorsement in Educational Leadership and Administration.
Following nine years of service as a high school teacher in Clayton and Henry Counties, Sharon accepted the position of Career, Technical and Agricultural Education Supervisor for Henry County Schools in 2008. For the Spivey Hall Children’s Choir Program, she processes all tuition, fundraiser, and tour payments. She also works hand-in-hand with the financial staff of Spivey Hall and the Spivey Hall Children’s Choir Program General Manager to develop and administer the choir’s budget as well as donations to the Spivey Hall Children’s Choir Foundation.
